Full Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Despatch Supervisor to join our team at Cranswick Froch Foods. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll play an important part in ensuring our Despatch operation runs safely, efficiently and to a high standard every day. You'll lead and support a multi-skilled team, working closely with Operations, Planning, Technical, HR and Health & Safety to make sure customer orders are despatched accurately and on time. What you'll be doing
- Lead, support and develop a multi-skilled Despatch team.
- Ensure products are collected and despatched according to the daily Despatch plan.
- Help ensure internal and external orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain high Health & Safety standards and challenge unsafe behaviours.
- Ensure Food Safety, hygiene and quality standards are consistently maintained.
- Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and records for traceability.
- Support risk assessments, safety inspections, accident investigations and near-miss reporting.
- Communicate KPIs, safety information and operational updates effectively to your team.
We're looking for someone who has: - Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, ideally within food manufacturing, production or Despatch.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, professional and respectful approach.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Good planning and problem-solving abilities.
- A reliable approach with excellent timekeeping.
- The confidence to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions when required.
- A willingness to learn and develop. Qualifications & Experience Ideally, you will have:
- Level 3 Health & Safety qualification, such as IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
- Experience with risk assessments and safe working procedures.
- Hazard and near-miss reporting experience.
- Accident investigation training or experience.
- An understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards within a manufacturing environment. Why join us?
