Shift Lead - Despatch Droitwich | 4 on 4 off Days & Nights | Permanent

Are you a people-focused operational leader looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced logistics environment? Mller Milk & Ingredients is recruiting a Shift Lead within our Despatch operation at Droitwich. This is an opportunity to lead a frontline team, drive operational performance, and play a key role in delivering service excellence across our logistics function.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Shift Lead, you'll be responsible for leading your team to deliver safety, service, quality and performance targets while developing individual capability and driving continuous improvement across the operation. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing frontline teams to achieve operational targets.


• Coaching team members to solve problems and improve performance.


• Managing performance reviews, development plans and employee relations matters.


• Driving a culture of Operational Excellence and continuous improvement.


• Using problem-solving tools and PDCA methodology to identify and resolve issues.


• Working collaboratively with other functions to improve overall business performance.


• Identifying improvement opportunities and leading initiatives that deliver measurable results.


• Promoting high standards of health, safety and compliance across the operation.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a confident and engaging leader who can inspire others, make decisions at pace and drive performance through their team. You'll ideally have:

• Experience within a Despatch, Logistics, Warehouse, Distribution or Transport environment.


• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-moving operational setting.


• Strong coaching and people development skills.


• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.


• A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for delivering results.


• The ability to influence, engage and motivate others.
