Full Job Description
As a Warehouse Despatch Operator, you'll be responsible for accurately picking, packing and preparing customer orders for despatch, making sure the right products, quantities, labels and paperwork are ready to go.
You'll safely load and unload vehicles using warehouse equipment, including a Counterbalance Forklift Truck, and use handheld scanners and our Warehouse Management System (M3) to process orders and keep stock records accurate.
You'll help maintain stock accuracy by supporting stock counts, audits and inventory activities, while ensuring products are stored correctly and warehouse locations are kept organised.
Working as part of the night shift team, you'll manage your workload to meet daily targets and customer requirements, working efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.
You'll also take pride in keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised, following our clean-as-you-go approach and all relevant food safety, hygiene, GMP and Health & Safety requirements.
Ideally this is you!
· Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
· Previous experience in a warehouse, despatch, logistics, goods-in or goods-out environment is desirable.
· Comfortable using warehouse management systems, handheld scanners and other IT systems.
· Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
· Able to work independently, prioritise your workload and meet deadlines.
· Reliable, punctual and dependable, with a strong work ethic.
· Good communication skills and able to work well as part of a team.
· Able to remain calm, focused and productive in a fast-paced environment.
· Committed to high standards of Health & Safety, food safety, quality and housekeeping.
· Positive and flexible approach, with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
· Previous experience within a food manufacturing or distribution environment would be an advantage.
