Can you help us on our journey? If so, this is an exciting place to spend the next stage of your career as we strive to improve further.

We are looking to appoint a Designated Safeguarding Lead and Mental Health Lead to join our pastoral team. The primary focus will be to lead and manage safeguarding, child protection, and mental health provision across the school. This is a new role due to the increasing safeguarding, child protection and mental health demands being presented and need to add capacity to our pastoral team.

The successful candidate will boost our capacity and ensure we have full-time support available for our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads and other staff supporting this area.

We wish to recruit a non-teaching colleague as a DSL to help ensure we meet the needs of our students, are able to function effectively as a school and work closely with other agencies supporting our local community. We will provide external supervision to support this role.

This is a full year post, covering school terms, staff learning days and school holiday periods.

The post is for 37 Hours per week, Full year post with a holiday allowance. Starting salary for a full-time post at Band L (points 32 - 34) is within the range £42,839 to £45,091 per annum. Starting point depending on experience, qualifications and subject to any continuous service.

There has never been a better time to work at Stratford upon Avon School. This is no ordinary school. There are many excellent schools around, but they all have a very different feel. We are a lovely school with a genuine 'feel good factor' throughout. Our mission is summed up by 3 words, Engage, Enthuse & Inspire, which underpin what we're all about.

We hope you are particularly excited at the prospect of joining us. If you think, you have what it takes, please complete the school application form by the deadline Mon 22nd June 2026.
