Full Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and organised Design & Technology Technician to support our busy DT and Art department. You will play a key role in preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe, well-organised workshops to support high-quality teaching. Key Duties
- Prepare tools, equipment and materials for practical lessons
- Maintain workshops and ensure health and safety compliance
- Support students and staff during practical activities
- Maintain and repair machinery and equipment
- Manage stock, ordering and inventory
- Support CAD/CAM equipment (e.g. laser cutters, 3D printers) What We're Looking For
- Experience in a workshop, technical or similar environment
- Strong practical and organisational skills
- Good understanding of health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable
- Experience in a school setting
- Knowledge of GCSE Design & Technology
- CAD/CAM experience This is a great opportunity to support creative learning in a well-equipped department. Hours: 37 hours per week, term-time only plus inset days.
