John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives - and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint an organised, flexible and positive technician to join our evolving organisation, who bring a 'can do attitude' to engage with students and staff in the technology environment.

We are looking for a committed and motivated individual to join our friendly and supportive school team, giving you the opportunity to have real impact on the lives of young people. This role is key to supporting our Technology teaching team and is ideally suited to an afternoon working pattern, setting up and cleaning down practical technology lessons (with a focus on woodwork preparation) and our whole school and administration team with photocopying and preparation of printed materials.

You will be directed and supported by senior colleagues to allow you to fulfil this role. Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to use your initiative to support students, contributing to their success, behaviour management and social skills. Maintaining excellent health, safety, and wellbeing practices within the workshop. The Trust was founded in 2014, in John Taylor High School - an outstanding secondary school in Barton-Under-Needwood, and the first in Staffordshire to convert to become an Academy. We have grown steadily over time and currently serve 13 infant/primary schools, and 6 secondary schools.

In addition, the Staffordshire Research School and John Taylor Teaching School Hub are also key parts of our Trust, having gained a reputation for delivering outstanding professional development and support for teachers across a wide ranging offer.

Permanent, part time 25 hours a week (flexible working patterns considered)
Term Time Only plus INSET days
Salary: Grade 4 (SCP 6-7) £25,989 - £26,403 per annum pro rata
Actual salary: £15,248.89 - £15,491.80 per annum
