Full Job Description
Are you passionate about inspiring young people through creativity and practical learning? We're looking for an enthusiastic Design & Technology Instructor/Teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons across multiple key stages. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you'll help raise standards, support pupil progress and contribute to an ambitious, inclusive curriculum. You'll need a strong understanding of workshop health and safety, alongside a passion for supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs. Most importantly, you'll help young people build confidence, develop practical skills and discover their potential.,
- Deliver high-quality Design & Technology teaching across Key Stages 1-4.
- Plan and teach engaging practical and theory-based lessons in areas such as product design, resistant materials, carpentry, graphics, engineering principles and related disciplines.
- Use resources effectively to support high standards of learning and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
- Undertake additional curriculum responsibilities as agreed with the Assistant Headteacher and Curriculum Lead.
- Act as a form tutor and positive role model, supporting students' academic, social, and personal development.
- Support whole-school literacy, numeracy and life skills initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality SEND provision.
- Work closely with parents, external agencies, and young people with SEND, including those with SEMH needs, to promote effective inclusion.
