Full Job Description
As a Tool Designer you'll be developing CAD drawings for all Proseal Machine tooling.
The drawings/documents will be developed in accordance with our standard machinery or to customer specifications.
The type of drawings will involve mechanical and electrical layouts/schematics and equipment datasheets.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
Carrying out the design process and development for both new and existing products to
ensure accuracy and quality.
To be responsible for preparing bills of materials for the manufacture of the designs and
assemblies, including documenting of all part numbers and drawing references
To liaise with colleagues, assisting with potential quality issues through production
Interpreting customer ideas and preparing drawings and 3D models for manufacture,
including all dimensions, tolerances, finishes and notes
Assisting Managers and colleagues with matters relating to product development
To identify opportunities to reduce costs in the design, materials used and manufacturing
techniques
To provide feedback for continuous improvement of products and services

Qualifications/ Experience:
An Engineering Qualification ONC/HNC/HND
Minimum 2 years' engineering experience
Understanding of mechanical and/or Electrical installation
AutoCAD 2D design experience
Good understanding of 3D Cad design (Solidworks)
