Full Job Description

The post holder will be employed by Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to a 12-month fixed term contract. This post is designed for a trainee who has an interest in a career in dermatology.

This post is ward-based (dedicated Dermatology ward) working with dedicated dermatology nurses. It will provide a broad exposure to inpatient adult dermatology and there will be many opportunities to work in the Outpatient clinics and to get some experience and training in skin surgery and acute dermatology (ward consults). This post will be supervised consultant dermatologists.

This allows the successful candidate to strengthen their CV with a view to ultimately applying for a specialist registrar post.

This post is designed for a trainee who has an interest in a career in dermatology. As such it will give broad exposure to outpatient dermatology and dermatology surgery allowing the successful candidate to strengthen their CV with a view to ultimately applying for a national Dermatology training number.

The post carries no on-call responsibilities, however, there are possible opportunities for ad hoc General Medical Tier 1 or Registrar admission shifts at Arrowe Park Hospital (according to grade and experience of successful candidate).
