Deputy Ward Manager Female Acute

Works as a Senior Nurse within the ward, ensuring a safe, therapeutic and inclusive environment for patients, families, visitors and staff. Applies relevant policies, statutory requirements and governance frameworks, ensuring risks are assessed and managed and safe staffing and skill mix are maintained. Provides clinical leadership and supervision, supports the CPD, mandatory training, appraisal and performance management of staff, and acts as a role model for learning and development. Supports junior staff and student nurses, implements and evaluates therapeutic interventions, promotes patient involvement and collaborative problem-solving, and contributes to effective multidisciplinary working and risk management. Acts as Named Nurse and Associate Nurse, regularly leads shifts, undertakes ward lead roles, provides clinical supervision, and deputises for the Ward Manager when required. Supports recruitment and retention and consistently adheres to all national, company and local
policies, standards and procedures.
