Deputy Ward Manager

Ward 12 is a specialised respiratory ward , including a dedicated respiratory support unit. We care for people with a variety of respiratory conditions working closely with the MDT to provide exceptional care. The respiratory support unit is part of the ward where we provide enhanced care for people who require non-invasive ventilation.,

• To supervise, support and educate junior members of the team.
• Act as a role model to your team
• Ensure and maintain patient, staff and visitor safety
• Hold the site bleep responsibility
• Ensure team and patient safety-including safe guarding
• Contribute to ward assurance and audit
• Work with the wider MDT to ensure high standards of effective patient care
• Ensure safe staffing level, contribute to off duty
  
  We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres.
