Full Job Description

Working as a Deputy Team Manager within the Early Help triage team you would be expected to assist the Manager in decision making in relation to Early Help and ensuring the right levels of intervention decision is made so that families can access support from the right place at the right time. You will demonstrate clear decision making and problem solving to ensure effective risk management and planning good outcomes for children and their families. You will provide appropriate support, supervision, and performance management through line management, striving for excellence by working with the Manager and colleagues to deliver best practice. We are looking for someone with experience of working with children, young people, families, and communities to deliver a wide range of interventions. Experience of working with multi-agency assessments and plans is also a must. Academic qualifications to degree level or equivalent professional qualification relevant to the field of Children, Young People and Families. Relevant experience working in/across Children's Social Care and Early Help delivering direct interventions to children and families.

County council Children's Services judged Good with Outstanding elements by Ofsted During the inspection, which took place from June 9 to 20 this year, the inspection team found the council's Children's Services to be Good in its overall effectiveness, with judgements of Outstanding in two of four categories, and good in the remaining two categories. Services showed significant improvement since the last full inspection when they were judged to require improvement in 2022. Ofsted found that 'children in care experience exceptional care and support' and that those who need help and protection 'benefit from high-quality, effective early help services'.
