Full Job Description

As Deputy Team Manager, you will support the Consultant Psychiatrist (Clinical Lead) and Team Manager (Operational Lead),to provide clinical and leadership support to the wider team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day management and clinical supervision to staff.
  • Supporting the ongoing development and performance management of the team.
  • Undertaking clinical duties, including duty shifts, conducting assessments and managing a small caseload.
  • Liaison with other services and stakeholders as required, often acting as a link person for complex situations.
  • Support of investigating informal and formal complaints as necessary.
  • Acting as Duty Manager on a rota that does include weekends and out of hours working (full shadowing support will be provided for those new to this responsibility).
  • Deputising for the Team Manager as required.
