Full Job Description

Our Case Managers work closely with our Clients, and we carry out all the recruitment processes on behalf of our Clients; and will support you, from your initial telephone interview right through to arranging employer interviews, trial shifts and placement. If you are successfully recruited, you will be employed directly by our client or their Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection. However, ILS will manage your day to day employment, providing you with the support you need to carry out your role. Working as a Carer or Support Worker for an ILS client means that you will have a dedicated Case Manager to oversee your client's care needs.

  • Confident working within the client's family home and sensitive to the needs and wishes of the client and their family.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, including hoisting, feeding, personal care routines, therapy programmes and the use of specialist equipment (full training provided).
  • Ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role, including bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing and pulling where required. A Handling Management Plan is in place to minimise risk.

  • Experience of supporting children or adults with complex disabilities or additional needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care or supporting children and young people with disabilities.
  • Experience of carrying out therapy or rehabilitation programmes.
  • Previous experience using hoists and specialist equipment.
  • Experience of using assistive technology, communication aids, switches or specialist IT equipment.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work additional hours and provide occasional short-notice cover.
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive the client's adapted vehicle.

  • Experience of leading, supervising or coordinating a team.
  • Experience of developing, implementing and reviewing person-centred care plans.
  • Experience of managing staff rotas.
  • Experience of managing timesheets and staff records.
  • Ability to support, mentor and guide support workers.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with parents, therapists, case managers and other professionals.
  • Ability to identify, escalate and appropriately manage concerns.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Confident using IT systems for rota management, communication and record keeping.

    Deputy Team Leader: £17.00 per hour, Monday to Sunday Days, Bank Holidays Paid at 1.5x Day Rate, £15.00 On Call per 24 hours (7am to 7am) Sleeping nights paid at £NLW (Currently £12.71 per hour for age 21+) Bank Support Workers: £16.10 per hour, Monday to Sunday Days, Bank Holidays Paid at 1.5x Day Rate, Sleeping nights paid at £NLW (Currently £12.71 per hour for age 21+) Benefits:
