Full Job Description

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational supervision of a team of security officers.
  • Safeguarding of company and client assets to include people, buildings, and information.
  • Implementation of security client policies.
  • Undertake security threat & risk assessments.
  • Identify practical areas for personal development of the team, which can be implemented in conjunction with the Security Manager.
  • To assist the Security Manager in leading, managing and motivating the team, including: goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, coaching and development planning, and monitor attendance / timekeeping.
  • The ability to update rosters ahead of time (preferably 3 months)
  • Update accurate training records
  • Act as Security Manager in their absence
  • Support the Security Manager (or stand-in) in all operational and staff matters, including meetings, where required
  • Assist with recruitment, inductions and probation reviews
  • Support HR processes where applicable
  • Work closely with client management team
  • Attend operational meetings
  • Help maintain a strong working relationship with Corps Security and Walsall College

    We currently have an exciting opportunity for a site-based Deputy Security Manager (DSM). Someone who has the ability to manage a security team and provide an efficient, flexible, and motivated team is pivotal to the success of this role. You will need to have excellent planning, organisational and commercial skills together with experience to recognise opportunities., Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential.
  • A Full UK Driving License - essential.
  • A Valid SIA CCTV License - desirable.
  • Able to achieve an EDBS and vetting to BS7858 Standards
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
  • Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
