Full Job Description

We are looking for a Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths to join our team to provide cover at our offices Countywide in Nuneaton, Rugby, Stratford and Warwick. This post is offered on a zero-hour basis and we are unable to guarantee or predict any hours. As a Deputy Registrar you will register births, stillbirths, deaths, and marriages in accordance with current statute, regulation, and instruction.

To be successful in this role you will need good administrative and customer service experience as well as a good standard of education. It's important you have good communication skills both verbal and written, clear and neat handwriting and ability to work accuracy and excellent attention to detail. You will be used to working within a team as well as on your own initiative; be resilient, flexible, and able to work with people and confidential information with tact and diplomacy. In addition, it's important you have good planning and organising skills, and are able to manage your time effectively and work under pressure. Good standard of ICT skills and the ability to travel throughout the county and willing to attend relevant training courses are also required., The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
