Full Job Description
The Student Services department plays a vital role in supporting students' welfare, wellbeing, behaviour and overall experience. The team works collaboratively across the College to ensure students feel safe, supported and empowered to succeed, both academically and personally. We are seeking an outstanding Deputy Head of Student Services to help shape the student experience and drive high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, wellbeing and safety across the College and residential provision. Working closely with the Head of Student Services, you will take a key leadership role in overseeing the residential team and supporting the effective delivery of student services, ensuring a consistent and positive experience for all learners.,
- Support the leadership of the Student Services team, including line management of the residential team
- Promote and model high standards of positive behaviour, ensuring consistency and fairness across the College
- Lead on effective student behaviour management, including early intervention and restorative approaches
- Contribute to safeguarding, wellbeing, equality and diversity, and health & safety practices
- Maintain a strong health and safety culture across campus and accommodation
- Assist in managing operations, resources and budgets within Student Services
- Build effective relationships with curriculum areas, support services and external partners
Have experience in student services, residential provision, pastoral or student-facing leadership roles - Demonstrate a strong track record of promoting positive behaviour and managing student conduct effectively
- Possess sound knowledge of safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive support practices
- Have a good understanding of health and safety and risk management in a student environment
- Be able to lead, motivate and develop teams while building strong working relationships
- Be organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities effectively
