Full Job Description

  • Supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day clinical and operational running of the nursing home.
  • Providing strong clinical leadership, acting as a visible and supportive role model for nursing and care staff.
  • Overseeing and conducting comprehensive care assessments, person-centred care planning, and regular reviews.
  • Ensuring full compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding requirements, and relevant legislation.
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, allied health professionals, residents, and their families to deliver holistic care.
  • Leading on clinical audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives across the home.
  • Supporting the recruitment, induction, mentoring, and ongoing development of the nursing team.
  • Deputising for the Home Manager in their absence, maintaining continuity of leadership and care.

    Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Nurse Manager / Clinical Lead Nurse to join their leadership team. This is a key role within the home, offering a fantastic opportunity for a clinically strong nurse with proven leadership ability to take the next step in their career., A current, unrestricted NMC registration (RGN/RN) is essential.
  • Demonstrable clinical skills, with the confidence to lead on complex nursing and dementia care needs.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing or supervising nursing teams within a care home environment.
  • Previous experience working within a nursing home setting is essential.
  • A thorough understanding of CQC regulations and person-centred care principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, residents, and families.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care to older adults.

    Private Nursing Home - 40 hours per week - Up to £25 per hour
