Full Job Description

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join their team. Located in a beautiful setting, the nursery offers a warm, nurturing environment where children thrive - so a driving licence is essential due to the location. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated early years professional looking to take the next step in their career and play a key leadership role in a setting that truly values high-quality care and education. As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery. You'll help lead a motivated team, ensure compliance with the EYFS framework, and contribute to creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment for every child. Your leadership will help shape the care, development and education of young children - and support staff to reach their full potential.,

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the daily operational management of the nursery.
  • Lead by example to maintain a positive, inclusive and child-centred environment.
  • Oversee curriculum planning, ensuring activities align with EYFS and promote learning through play.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, supporting their professional development and performance.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers through effective communication.
  • Assist with safeguarding procedures, health and safety, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to inspections, audits, and continuous improvement plans.

Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early childhood care.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and team leadership skills.
  • Passionate about creating an environment where every child is celebrated and supported.
  • Driving licence and access to transport is essential due to the nursery's location.
