Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established therapeutic children's residential provider supporting children and young people with learning difficulties and emotional and behavioural difficulties. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring children receive safe, nurturing and therapeutic care while supporting and developing the staff team., You will be confident supporting staff, leading shifts, maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding, and ensuring the home remains compliant with Children's Homes Regulations.,
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the daily running of the home.
- Leading and mentoring the staff team.
- Completing supervisions, inductions and performance support.
- Promoting therapeutic and trauma-informed practice throughout the home.
- Supporting the development of Care Plans, Risk Assessments and Behaviour Support Plans.
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, compliance and record keeping.
- Building positive relationships with children, families and professionals.
- Promoting staff wellbeing and reflective practice.
- Leading by example and creating a positive team culture.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential) - Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification or willingness to work towards (supported by our client), Minimum of one year's experience within an Ofsted Registered Children's Residential Home, ideally at Senior Residential Support Worker level or above.
- Good understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and safeguarding.
- Experience of supporting children using therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches.
- Full UK Driving Licence., Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager who is passionate about therapeutic childcare and making a lasting difference to children's lives.
£34,000-£38,000 base salary - Potential take-home of £37,640-£41,640 including sleep-ins
