Full Job Description

Are you an experienced care leader looking for a role where you can make a real difference without compromising on support, standards or work-life balance? Do you want to use your skills in a role where your values are shared, your voice is heard, and quality of care comes first? We're looking for exceptional Deputy Managers to help lead our residential services - supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live fulfilling, safe and meaningful lives., We are currently recruiting for two full-time Deputy Manager positions within our residential services. One opportunity is a permanent post based at Stapleton Drive, and the other is a temporary role at Creynolds Lane. However, we take a 'one service' approach - and Deputy Managers may be required to work at any location across the services in the borough of Solihull. Both roles offer the chance to play a key part in leading high-quality care, supporting dedicated teams, and making a meaningful difference to the lives of those we support., As Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Lead the service in the absence of the Registered Manager.
  • Manage, motivate and develop a dedicated care team.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards with a focus on quality and sustainability.
  • Support service stability and continuous improvement through practical leadership.
  • Balance oversight with a visible, hands-on presence in the service.
  • Champion person-centred care and robust safeguarding practice.
  • Share best practice and support service development.
  • You will also play a vital role in ensuring consistent leadership across the service, taking part in a 24-hour on-call rota and working flexibly across evenings, weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota, helping to maintain high-quality care and support when it matters most.

  • Proven experience in residential or care settings supporting complex needs.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and care regulations.
  • Experience leading, supervising and supporting staff teams.
  • Confidence in decision-making, with strong communication and IT skills.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent (or willingness to work towards.)
  • We Will Offer You
  • A supportive, values-driven leadership environment.
  • Strong organisational support for your role.
  • A focus on quality care over profit-driven targets.
  • Manageable workload and realistic expectations., This post is covered by the Fluency Duty, as outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers.

A competitive salary with access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Attractive staff benefits including discounts and wellbeing support.
