Deputy Legal Services Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Legal Services Team at Swansea Bay University Health Board for two Deputy Legal Services Managers, each offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis to cover service needs. We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and patient-focused individuals to join our team and manage a complex caseload of clinical negligence claims and inquests., The primary purpose of the Deputy Legal Services Manager role is to support the Legal Services Manager in ensuring that the Health Board complies with all relevant legislation and procedures, including:

• The Civil Procedure Rules 1998
• The National Health (Concerns, Complaints and Redress Arrangements) (Wales) Regulations 2011
• The Coroners and Justice Act 2009
The post holder will play a key role in identifying learning opportunities across the organisation. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a complex, high-value caseload of clinical negligence claims, alongside an active inquest caseload. The role also includes undertaking a range of managerial duties to support the smooth and efficient running of the service. Additionally, the post holder will provide line management to a small number of staff within the Legal Services Team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; we welcome applications from both Welsh and English speakers.
