Full Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our Children's Residential Home. This is a key leadership role, combining hands-on care with management responsibilities to ensure the home operates safely, compliantly, and to the highest possible standards. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in leading, motivating, and developing the staff team
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children and young people
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and records are maintained to a high standard
- Take responsibility for the home in the Manager's absence
- Support safeguarding practices and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations
- Assist with staff supervision, training, and performance management
- Contribute to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people with complex needs
NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent) - essential - NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards) - desirable
- Previous experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and Ofsted requirements
- Confident leader with excellent communication and organisational skills
