Deputy Headteacher

The post-holder will work alongside the Executive Headteacher and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that students at our school receive an education of the highest quality. They will play a key role in the significant and exciting developments that are currently taking place at the school, including driving improvement and raising standards.

The role would be an excellent preparation for colleagues interested in moving to Deputy Headship or Headship.

The precise areas of responsibility that sit within this role will be a matter for negotiation following appointment and will be determined by the particular strengths and interests of the appointed candidate. It is important to us that we appoint the right person to join our committed, approachable and aspirational senior leadership team.

For January 2026, we are looking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be an exceptional teacher and inspirational leader and should have demonstrated their ability to successfully lead at senior leadership level.

Helena Romanes is a popular all through school situated in the beautiful North Essex countryside with good communications to London and the South East and is approximately 7 miles from Stansted Airport.
