Full Job Description
The Deputy Head of Admissions will help support the growth of the university whilst maintaining high levels of service delivery within the department.
The Deputy Head of Admissions will have responsibility for the line management of 1 direct report and provide leadership and guidance to an admissions team of around 25-30 staff. The post holder will be passionate about the principals and processes which underpin a fair admissions system and will be responsible for ensuring best practice is adhered to and shared, and that compliance is met in relation to both internal and external regulations and policies. The post will work collaboratively with colleagues across the University, liaising with academic departments and professional services staff, to ensure delivery of an excellent applicant experience and that internal stakeholder needs are met.
This varied role requires strong administrative and technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills. You will be passionate about admissions and higher education, engaged with external developments in the higher education admissions sector, and driven to explore new ideas and be creative when reviewing business processes, always looking for ways to improve and deliver impact.
