Full Job Description

The Deputy Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in the leadership and day-to-day operation of all Food & Beverage outlets across 11 Cadogan Gardens & Apartments and The Chelsea Townhouse. The role is responsible for driving exceptional guest experiences, developing and motivating the team, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting the achievement of departmental financial objectives. Deputy Food & Beverage Manager - Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Food & Beverage Manager in leading and developing the F&B team across 11 Cadogan Gardens and The Chelsea Townhouse.
  • Deputise for the Food & Beverage Manager when required, overseeing the smooth operation of all F&B outlets, events and functions.
  • Lead by example, maintaining exceptional luxury service standards and a visible presence across the operation.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, succession planning and team development.
  • Manage service periods, events and functions, ensuring efficient operations and consistently high guest experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with guests, anticipate their needs, gather feedback and resolve concerns professionally.
  • Work closely with Kitchen and wider hotel teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Support departmental revenue, profit, labour and cost targets, including stock control, purchasing, stocktakes and minimising waste.
  • Assist with rotas, labour planning, forecasting and resource allocation in line with business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, licensing requirements and Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, product knowledge and operational excellence across all F&B areas.
  • Support the delivery of departmental briefings, SOPs and training programmes, ensuring statutory and mandatory training is completed.
  • Assist with promotions, menu initiatives and third-party booking platforms to maximise revenue and enhance the guest experience.
  • Undertake Duty Management responsibilities and demonstrate flexibility across both properties as required.
