Deputy Divisional Nurse Director

There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and credible registered practitioner to join our senior clinical leadership team as an additional Deputy Divisional Nurse Director for Surgery, increasing our senior nursing team. The position will work daily with the Divisional Nurse Director and be an integral part of the senior management divisional triumvirate to help influence strategic direction and vision. Main duties of the job The role will require a proven record of senior leadership experience, working with the wider multidisciplinary team and other registrants. You will be required to supervise, mentor, and develop departmental leaders, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Using compassionate and inclusive leadership skills you will be expected to be promote high standards of clinical care across our surgical division including critical care . Governance and risk management is essential to patient safety, therefore you will need a good working knowledge to be able to support and to advise the team using PSIRF principles. Communication skills are essential, along with self awareness and emotional intelligence, to work with a wide range of individuals and be able to connect with a division of over 4000 staff. You will be instrumental in promoting the nursing agenda both divisionally and at Trust level by supporting the Divisional Nurse Director and deputising in their absence. You will be required to deliver nursing objectives that help transform patient pathways and improve patient experience and contribute to the nursing voice.
