Deputy Director of Operations

This is an exciting opportunity to shape PCS growing portfolio of services. This role is the critical link between Exec and the operational directorate and will be given the autonomy to make critical business decisions.

We are looking for someone who is an operational expert, who has the tenacity to work in a growing organisation which prides itself on its innovational style, The Deputy Director of Operations is a significant leadership role within PCS. You will lead and be accountable for the operational delivery across all three of our directorates; mental health, at scale and PCS practices.

As a senior leader you will inspire confidence through your knowledge and expertise. You will lead and are accountable for the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services that are innovative and responsive to the needs of patients, as well as ensuring delivery of all our national and local KPIs across access and experience.

You will work closely with the Executive team, senior clinicians, shareholders and system partners to promote and continually improve the quality, safety, experience of patients and ensure good use of resources by optimising productivity and reducing waste. You will work alongside the executive directors and clinical leaders to demonstrate highly visible collective leadership; influencing and shaping the leadership and culture of the organisation.

You will have a key role in progressing PCSs business plan, ensuring that we are proactively communicating progress, successes and learning with operational teams along the way.

Primary Care Sheffield (PCS) is a GP-led organisation. Our shareholders are 73 GP practices in Sheffield covering around 600,000 patients.
