Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead Salary: Grade 7 point 19 - 25 £32,061 - £36,363 Start Date: 1st September 2026 Working Hours: 37 hours per week 8am - 4pm Please note this post is full year, not term time only The Governors at Shuttleworth College are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our safeguarding team. This role represents a rare opportunity for an experienced individual to play a vital role in ensuring that all our students are safe, supported and able to thrive both inside and outside of school. About the Role

  • Act as a central point of contact for new safeguarding concerns
  • Manage a case load at level 3 on the Lancashire Continuum of Need
  • Make referrals to Children's Social Care, Police and other relevant agencies
  • Support vulnerable families in accessing appropriate support through referrals and ongoing engagement
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all safeguarding information on CPOMS

  • Has experience of working within a safeguarding role either within a school or other relevant agency
  • Is an Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Has experience of multi-agency working
