Deputy Clinical Director for TOR

The Deputy Clinical Director for TOR will be accountable to the Clinical Director for the performance of the directorate. This is a key operational role within the Directorate, and the post holder will work with the Clinical Director to lead and be accountable for ensuring services are patient focused and effective and for achieving national and local key performance indicators and standards. The post holder will provide visible leadership to all staff within the directorate and support the Clinical Director in delivering the strategic plan for the Division. The post holder will also work with the Divisional Director and the Divisional Management Team to ensure the services within the Clinical Directorate meet the required objectives.

• A practicing clinical professional who holds a master's or equivalent level qualification
• Clinical registration
• Experience of working within the NHS within an acute hospital environment, preferably a teaching hospital
• Proven ability to work in partnership with managers and other Clinicians
• Demonstrate the ability to hold clinical colleagues to account
• An ability to manage and process highly complex facts/situations.
Desirable criteria
• Experience of change management
• Experience of working within a devolved management structure
• Postgraduate management/ further study qualification, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
