Deputy Chief Pharmacy Technician

The post holder will be expected to ensure the provision of quality, effective pharmacy services to improve patient care in mental health services, support the development and delivery of education and training programmes for pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals, ensure and management of financial and procurement systems to monitor drug expenditure and trends.

Candidates must be registered pharmacy technicians with the General Pharmaceutical Council in accordance with mandatory professional requirements, hold the BTEC Professional Diploma in Dispensing Checking, have experience of hospital pharmacy and an interest in the specialist field of mental health. there is a requirement to work across all sites withing GMMH

Due to a promotion an exciting opportunity for a Band Six Deputy Chief Pharmacy Technician post within Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust has become available .

This post will be technical lead for our Prestwich cluster area covering our Prestwich and North view sites and you will be expected to work routinely on both sites You will manage the on site dispensary, and work closely with our third party provider for off site in patient supplies and discharges.

The sites are EMPA and we work closely with the CMHT in these areas This i post is looking for someone with fresh ideas to bring this role to life, however you will have a network of support including other deputy chief pharmacy technicians, and the lead pharmacists for each site.

The Pharmacy Department at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust has over 60 staff members, working across a number of sites and dispensaries. The post holder will be primary based at Park house Hospital but would be expected to cover across all sites., Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over6,400members of staff, who deliver services from more than160locations.
