Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Senior Dental Officer to join Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Dental Services on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave ending 31 June 2027.
The post is suitable for an experienced practitioner to work 4 days/30 hours per week at Oak House Dental Centre in Accrington.
You will be expected to work at other sites within LSCft Dental Services within East Lancashire and BwD.
The post includes the provision of care within the specialties of special care and paediatric dentistry and urgent care for patients receiving continuing care within the service and those referred by the Lancashire Call Handling. Experience in inhalation conscious sedation is preferred.

This role is supported by specialists in special care and paediatric dentistry. Dental nurses are qualified and many have training in extended duties—radiography, sedation, special care, fluoride application.
Oak House Dental Centre also provides undergraduate clinical placements for the University of Lancashire.
Mentoring and clinical supervision is available and professional development supported.
We are close to the coast, the beautiful Ribble Valley, and only 45 minutes from the Lake District.
