Full Job Description

Are you an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys making a real difference to patients' healthcare journeys? This role supports the Dental Referral Co-ordinator with the day-to-day operation of the Dental Referrals Team within Oxfordshire Community Dental Service (OCDS) . The post holder will help ensure referrals are processed smoothly and efficiently, while responding to queries from patients, carers and professionals. They will also undertake a range of administrative duties to support the wider service, including the Senior Leadership Team. The ability to travel independently between sites within the Trust is essential for this role.,

  • Handle confidential and complex enquiries from patients, carers, colleagues and external agencies in line with service procedures and Trust policies.
  • Process and triage dental referrals promptly, monitor the shared mailbox and escalate breaches of the 12-week referral-to-assessment timeframe.
  • Support the Dental Referral Co-ordinator with administrative improvements, EDI claims, the General Anaesthetic pathway and service finances, including outstanding patient charges.
  • Maintain accurate electronic patient records, upload radiographs and process subject access requests while meeting information governance requirements.
  • Liaise effectively with hospitals, Children's Services, safeguarding leads, senior clinicians and the Dental Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support weekly performance reporting and produce high-quality documentation using appropriate Microsoft applications.
  • Organise workload to meet deadlines, seek guidance when required and participate in individual and group supervision
