• Supporting the Chef de Partie in the day-to-day running of a section, ensuring it is fully prepped and ready for service.
• Preparing ingredients to specification, maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation at all times.
• Assisting in cooking and plating dishes during service, working with precision and speed in a high-pressure environment.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked workstation, ensuring all mise en place is in place before service begins.
• Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are consistently upheld.
• Communicating clearly with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth, coordinated service.
• Monitoring stock levels within your section and supporting with ordering and minimising waste.
• Learning and developing your technical skills, taking feedback constructively to grow within the role.
• Assisting with deliveries and correct storage of produce, ensuring quality and freshness are maintained.
• Contributing to the overall flow and energy of the kitchen, helping to deliver a seamless dining experience for members.
  
  Some experience in a professional kitchen is preferred, ideally as a Commis Chef or similar role.
• Passionate about food, with a strong desire to learn, develop, and progress within the kitchen.
• Hardworking and proactive, with the ability to anticipate what needs to be done.
• A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Organised and detail-focused, taking pride in preparation, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Calm and resilient under pressure, maintaining consistency during busy services.
• Strong communicator, able to work effectively with chefs across all sections.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Physically prepared for a demanding, hands-on role, including long periods on your feet.
• Flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude and willingness to support wherever needed.
• 48 hours per week across 5 days (7 shifts a week)
