Full Job Description

Leading the Delivery Team:

  • Oversee daily delivery operations and ensure smooth functioning.
  • Plan deliveries and ensure accurate, safe loading.
  • Conduct plant/vehicle checks and manage outbound deliveries.
  • The hours for this role are 37.5, working 5 days out of 7.
  • Driving Commercial Success:
  • Implement the store's sales plan and make sound commercial decisions.
  • Maximize delivery service profitability and promote monthly offers.
  • Handle customer inquiries and upsell Selco services.
  • Empowering and Developing the Team:
  • Set direction and assign tasks, monitoring results.
  • Conduct training, briefings, and inductions for direct reports and drivers.
  • Foster a high-support, high-challenge environment and empower colleagues.
  • Operational Leadership & On-Duty Responsibility:
  • Act as the senior leader, managing store operations and resolving issues.
  • Ensure clear communication and handovers between shifts.
  • Serve as a key holder, responsible for opening/closing and security.
  • Service & Store Culture:
  • Inspire and lead by example, setting the standard for customer service.
  • Promote teamwork and recognize colleagues who embody core values.
  • Ensure safe, ethical, and compliant store operations.
