Job Description
Made in Stoke-on-Trent. Moulded by you.
Join Our Team as a Customer Service Team Member at Ocado Logistics!
For generations, Stoke-on-Trent has been known for its dedication to quality and hard work. Now, we're bringing that same spirit to our brand-new Ocado Logistics site! Here, you'll find stable work, planned shifts, and a supportive team—all while building a long-term career.
As a Customer Service Team Member (or what we like to call our Customer Delivery Drivers), you'll be the friendly face that local customers rely on. Whether it's delivering weekly groceries or those last-minute essentials, you'll play a vital role in keeping homes across the community running smoothly.
Hop into one of our delivery vans, follow a pre-planned route, and deliver each order with a smile! Our technology handles the route planning, and your van will be pre-loaded, allowing you to focus on driving safely and providing exceptional service.
Your Stoke Journey Starts Here
If you join us between 12th October 2026 and 2nd November 2026, you'll kick off your training and initial deliveries from one of our established sites in Dordon or Nottingham. From 9th November 2026, all training and deliveries will shift to our brand-new Stoke-on-Trent site.
We understand that this temporary change in location may require extra travel. That's why Ocado Logistics will cover any additional travel costs during the transition and provide you with an hour at the start and end of your shifts for travel time. This way, you can focus on learning the role and building your confidence without worrying about expenses.
Proper Work. Proper Rewards.
Enjoy a competitive pay rate of £13.66 per hour, with opportunities for overtime at time and a quarter. Plus, your breaks are paid! You'll also benefit from a range of perks that you can tailor to fit your lifestyle:
- A company pension with matched contributions of up to 7%, available after three months.
- An enhanced digital health and wellbeing service, including virtual GP appointments for you and your dependants.
- Access to hundreds of discounts across high-street shops, restaurants, and entertainment.
- Life insurance cover from your first day of employment.
- 15% off your weekly shop with Ocado.com.
- Optional benefits, including discounted dental and travel insurance.
What Do We Need From You?
No previous delivery experience? No problem! Our training team will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to thrive in this role.
This is an active, physical job where you could deliver up to a tonne of shopping each week, carrying orders from your van to customers' doors—yes, even those with stairs!
Since you'll be working independently for much of the day, reliability and a commitment to excellent service are essential. You'll represent Ocado Logistics while delivering shopping on behalf of our retail partners, so strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are a must.
Shifts can start as early as 5:30 AM and finish as late as midnight, so you'll need to ensure you can travel to and from the Stoke site reliably during these hours.
Additionally, you'll need:
- A full UK or EU driving licence.
- At least twelve months of driving experience.
- No more than six penalty points on your licence.
- No driving disqualifications within the past five years.
- To be aged 18 or over, as some deliveries include alcohol products.
How to Apply
Our application process is simple and doesn't require a CV:
- Complete our short online application.
- Our recruitment team will reach out to conduct an online driving licence check and Right to Work checks.
- You'll be invited to learn more about the role, including a site tour at your chosen training location.
- A DBS check will be completed.
- Once all checks are done, we'll confirm your offer and help you prepare for your first day!
