Driver's Assistant – Furniture Delivery

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, 5 days per week
Hourly Rate: £13.09

About the RoleWe are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver's Assistant to join our clients furniture delivery team in High Wycombe. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity.

You will work alongside the delivery driver to safely and efficiently deliver furniture to customers' homes and businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the driver with the loading and unloading of furniture.
  
  
• Delivering furniture to customers safely and on time.
  
  
• Carrying and manoeuvring furniture into customers' properties.
  
  
• Assisting with positioning furniture where required.
  
  
• Ensuring furniture is handled carefully to prevent damage.
  
  
• Providing friendly and professional customer service.
  
  
• Helping with vehicle loading and ensuring items are secure for transportation.
  
  
• Following delivery schedules and instructions from the driver/management.
  
  
• Maintaining a clean and tidy delivery vehicle.
  
  
• Working as part of a team to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
  
  

• Physically fit and comfortable lifting and carrying furniture.
  
  
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  
  
• Friendly and professional when dealing with customers.
  
  
• A good team player with a positive attitude.
  
  
• Able to follow instructions and work efficiently.
  
  
• Previous furniture delivery, removals or warehouse experience is desirable but not essential.
