Full Job Description

The Delegated Service Manager (DSM) reports to the Service Manager in the Service Management Team and is responsible for administering, leading and managing all contracts in their portfolio. They sit within Service Assurance Team as part of the retained Intelligent Client Function (ICF) for Defra Group Property Facilities Management. The Delegate Service Manager is responsible for the contract management the contract management and delivery of the contract for their specific areas or regions of Defra Group Property; including the "gold" Integrated FM contract for their region with a combined value of c£800m over the list of the contract. The Delegated Service Manager must be able to undertake all duties of the Service Manager in their absence to ensure continuous coverage and decision-making capability,

  • Ensuring sufficient management for all contracts in their portfolio, providing all necessary updates, reporting and strategies for the improvement of services and performance of DgP.
  • Issuing resolution, decision making and contract negotiation for the continual improvement of contracts.
  • Stakeholder management for their region.
  • Being a subject matter expert for their contracts, delivering training, giving advice, supporting other functions/teams that use the contracts in their portfolio.
  • Managing a team of Contract Support Officers.
  • Making sound financial and commercial decisions to ensure best value for money is achieved.
