Full Job Description
As a Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Step into a unique opportunity delivering a pioneering initiative-the first of its kind-within a long-term programme spanning the next 20 years. You'll play a key role in shaping critical infrastructure that supports national capability for decades to come. Day-to-day, you'll lead full project delivery lifecycle, supporting the Programme Manager to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to quality standards-overseeing plans, risks, resources, and stakeholder engagement from initiation to completion.
- Lead an integrated project delivery team, coordinating efforts across planning, execution, monitoring, and control to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Oversee resource management, including staff development, financial planning, subcontractor oversight, and team support.
- Establish and maintain effective project governance structures.
- Produce and communicate project reporting, ensuring transparency and alignment with stakeholders.
- Support the project risk process, identifying, assessing, and managing risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
- Experience of Schedule Management.
- Previous experience of Risk, Opportunity and Issue Management.
- Knowledge and experience of Budgeting and Cost Control.
- Proven Leadership and team management.
- Previous experience of Stakeholder and Communication management., APM Project Management Qualification or Degree qualified in STEM/Business subject - Preferable
- APM Project Risk Management Level 2 - Desirable
- Project Planning and Controls Foundation - Preferable Security Clearance The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
