Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for the Post of Decontamination Technician at the Endoscopy Unit here at Ysbyty Gwynedd (Band 2). The successful candidate will responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient decontamination of flexible endoscopes. We are looking for an Endoscopy Decontamination Technician to carry out the collection, receipt, disassembly, cleaning, disinfection, reassembly, packing and delivering of reusable medical Endoscopes within the Endoscopy Unit and other Services. Decontamination experience is essential for this post.,

  • To maintain and protect confidential information relating to patients.
  • To establish and maintain good working relationships with members of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Maintain a clean environment throughout the Gastroenterology Unit.
  • Ensure that all endoscopy equipment being used is decontaminated in accordance with national, local and manufacturer's guidelines andreport any faults immediately.
