The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deburring Operative to join a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation based in Coventry. Working within a precision manufacturing environment, you will play a vital role in the production of small, highly engineered components used in hydraulic valve assemblies for aircraft braking systems.
This is a hands-on, bench-based position requiring exceptional attention to detail, manual dexterity and a commitment to quality. You will be responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges and loose material from precision-machined components, ensuring all parts meet stringent aerospace quality and safety standards.
Working on intricate components, you will use a variety of hand-finishing tools and inspection techniques to deliver defect-free products in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment where precision is paramount.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Deburring Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Deburring and hand-finishing precision-machined components using tools such as files, scrapers, abrasive stones, brushes and countersink tools.
- Inspecting small, intricate components to ensure all burrs, sharp edges and loose material have been removed.
- Following engineering drawings, work instructions, route cards and quality specifications.
- Maintaining high standards of component cleanliness and supporting Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention requirements.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and in accordance with aerospace manufacturing standards.
What We Are Looking For
You will have experience within a manufacturing, engineering, machining, assembly or precision bench-work environment and enjoy working on detailed, quality-critical components. You will take pride in producing high-quality work and understand the importance of precision in safety-critical industries.
Essential:
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.

- Training and support within a highly skilled manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to aerospace quality standards and industry best practices.
- The chance to develop specialist skills in precision finishing and inspection.
