Day Services Support Worker (Older Persons)

The Day Activities Support Worker supports older people to remain independent and maintain a good quality of life by providing care, personal support and meaningful activities. The role involves Driving PCC vehicles with appropriate training, promoting
community inclusion, assisting with personal care, maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality standards, and working closely with colleagues, families and external agencies to meet individuals' care and support needs., Support older people to remain independent and maintain a good quality of life through meaningful activities and personalised support.
Encourage participation in social, recreational and community-based activities.
Provide personal care and practical support, including assistance with meals, washing and toileting when required.
Support individuals to travel safely to and from services, including driving service vehicles.
Monitor and report changes in people's needs, working with colleagues, families and partner agencies.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, medication and confidentiality procedures to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Full driving licence required.
Excellent communication and listening skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
