Full Job Description

  • Translate complex client and business challenges into data-driven products, proof of concepts and scalable production solutions
  • Oversee the processing, cleansing and validation of data used for analysis, modelling and automation
  • Apply advanced statistical modelling, machine learning, deep learning and Generative AI techniques to classify, predict and generate insight from tax and legal data
  • Take ownership of models from initial experimentation through to deployment, monitoring, maintenance and continuous improvement
  • Champion model performance, interpretability, responsible AI, governance and auditability across delivery work
  • Clearly and confidently articulate the value, benefits and risks of analytics and AI projects to clients and senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with Tax and Legal SMEs, engineers and product teams to develop innovative digital propositions and proofs of concept
  • Mentor and guide data science colleagues, sharing knowledge and helping to raise the technical quality of the team
  • Drive automation and optimisation of business workflows, helping clients improve efficiency, control and decision-making

    Experience leading Data Science and AI initiatives from concept to production and business adoption.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes.
  • Proven experience mentoring and providing technical leadership to Data Scientists and AI practitioners.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning, GenAI and model evaluation.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern Data Science frameworks.
  • Experience with Azure AI services, including Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Foundry.
  • Strong understanding of Responsible AI, model governance and interpretability.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data in Agile delivery environments.
  • Ability to translate emerging technologies and R&D into practical business solutions.

  • Experience shaping Data & AI strategy, roadmaps and technical standards.
  • Experience building reusable AI assets, frameworks or products.
  • Strong understanding of ML/LLMOps, CI/CD, model monitoring and production deployment.
  • Experience with agentic AI, RAG and knowledge-based systems.
  • Experience operating within regulated or risk-controlled environments.
  • Exposure to data engineering and modern data platforms.
  • Azure data scientist/AI/GenAI certifications.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification (MSc, PhD) or equivalent in Data Science, AI or related discipline.

  • Tax Our comprehensive range of services encompasses everything from the completion of tax returns (corporation tax self-assessment) to complex consultancy assignments and strategic tax planning. We advise on corporate and general tax, international M&A, stamp tax, cross-border transfer pricing, reorganisations and reconstructions, and competent authority negotiations.
