Full Job Description
The Data Manager will provide a focal point for information requests and data queries within the NET service. The post holder will ensure the clinical data source, collection, entry and transfer of information is of the highest standard, and will be expected to develop the databases and the systems and processes associated with them, as the needs of the service change.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to and monitor compliance against the JCC service specification. This post is therefore an integral part of the NET team and will report directly to the Service Manager and Lead NET Consultant.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Since 2017, NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee (JCC) have commissioned a service for patients with Neuroendocrine Tumours (NETs) for South Wales in partnership with Velindre Cancer Centre and Swansea Bay University Health Board. Serving a population of 2.5 million, it is hosted by Cardiff & Vale University Health Board. As one of the larger centres in the UK, it has been accredited as a European Centre of Excellence since 2022, receiving approximately 200 new patients a year in addition to a large cohort of follow-up patients living with the disease., Cardiff and Vale University Health Boardis one of the largest Integrated Health Boards in the UK, employing over 15,000 staff, providing over 100 specialist services.
