Full Job Description

Decipher complex RFP requirements related to facility power and cooling infrastructure and help IT architects design an IT solution that fits within those limitations.
Architect complex power and cooling solutions for air and water-cooled IT solutions.
Work with key stakeholders (customers or internal) requesting infrastructure enhancements to develop a clear understanding of requirements and success criteria.
Collaborate with sales and critical engineering subject matter experts to determine the solution scope and projected costs.
Capture the solution description and review with key stakeholders.
Continue partnerships with internal or external customers to ensure the project goals and requirements are met.
Drive the build vs. buy decisions as needed, and identify key technologies needed to deliver new products with each release.
Participate actively with Development and external organizations like ASHRAE while staying current with technologies and techniques that will move our business forward.
Be actively involved in the physical installation of complex IT system that are air or water-cooled.
Be able to provide engineering guidance over a wide range of disciplines (power/electrical, mechanical, thermal, plumbing, controls).
Effectively project manage vendors contracted to provide separate pieces of the solution.

This is a remote role that requires 50% travel.

8+ years of experience working in technology disciplines such as power/electrical or mechanical/thermal engineering in data center environments.
Understanding of data center and IT solution power delivery architectures.
You should possess strong customer interaction skills and ability to make technical decisions.
Proven ability to work across a wide range of stakeholders and ability to drive issues to closure.
Experience in providing effective leadership in engagements as a technical consultant in the power and cooling subject matter area.
