Full Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated data specialist with strong SQL, data handling and analytical skills to help manage and develop two large longitudinal databases: the established UK National Neonatal Research Database (NNRD) and the newly established International Neonatal Research Database.,

  • Assisting with maintaining the UK National Neonatal Research Database (NNRD) and the International Neonatal Research Database
  • Managing the Group data servers (Linux)
  • Managing online PowerBI tools
  • Liaison as required with the IT departments of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and Imperial College London Liaison as required with the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit on research projects involving electronic data
  • Working closely with neonatal medicine research group staff and students
  • Providing data management support for research studies using the NNRD and other databases
  • Contributing to the wider work of the Neonatal Research Group
  • Conducting data queries
  • Preparation of datasets ready for statistical analysis
  • Production of data models for data dictionaries
  • Contribution to the intellectual life of the department
  • Contribution to the preparation of manuscripts for publication
  • Active participation in meetings
  • To comply with confidentiality agreements and the Data Protection Act
  • Timely execution of work

    The successful candidate will join Professor Modi's Neonatal Research Group based at the Chelsea and Westminster campus of Imperial College London. This is a multi-professional group of around 20 staff and students. The post holder will work closely with senior clinicians, other analysts, and the Senior Data Analyst. They will take a supportive role in data curation, managing and developing the databases. They will also contribute to research conducted by the Group., Our Trust is one of England's top-performing and safest trusts.
