Full Job Description

In this role, you will visit our tenants to identify potential issues relating to damp and mould and raise the necessary works to rectify it for them.

Here's what you'll get up to:

Ensure compliance with Awaab's Law, including:

Emergency repairs within 24 hours.
Formal response to tenant complaints within 14 days.
Repairs initiated within 7 days of assessment.
Conduct Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) surveys and recommend remedial actions.
Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver timely and effective solutions.
Promote awareness and provide guidance to residents on managing damp and mould.

Working pattern

Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Flexible, hybrid working arrangements

Experience in building maintenance and repair, particularly within residential or social housing environments.

Your knowledge

Strong knowledge of damp and mould diagnostics and remediation.

Your skills

Ability to identify root causes of damp and mould, including structural defects, plumbing issues, poor ventilation, and condensation.
Strong communication skills, able to offer advice and explain technical issues clearly to residents and colleagues.
Able to write reports and update case records accurately.

This vital role supports our commitment to safe, healthy homes and aligns with the introduction of Awaab's Law, which enforces strict legal timeframes for addressing hazardous housing conditions.
