Full Job Description
The post holder will:
Perform data entry tasks in the Cytology office using the Enterprise LIMS.
Answer phone calls and take appointment bookings.
Answer telephone helpline enquires and refer on queries to other areas if necessary.
Checking request forms against patient history to allocate to appropriate work streams.
Scan request forms and history documentation into DART database.
Match microscope slides and request forms and transport them to the screening room.
Main duties of the job
Entering patient details onto the Enterprise LIMS.
Entering patient results onto the Enterprise LIMS.
Scanning daily of request forms into DART database.
To respond to all telephone enquiries and to keep records.
Make enquiries to GP surgeries, Consultants and other hospitals.
Look up patient histology on external hospital systems.
To inform the Office Manager, on a regular basis, of any work backlogs.
Carrying out general clerical duties i.e. Filing, photocopying.
Carry out daily audits on negative Gynae and non gynae request forms
Carry out daily direct referral query, using excel and send by secure email to internal and external Colposcopy clinics.
Carry out weekly direct referral query for each Colposcopy clinic that receives daily direct referrals sending by secure email.
Dealing with andrology appointments booking and print appointment calendar from outlook.
Assist in the training of new starters.
