Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and resilient practitioner looking to expand their knowledge and skills working in the Complex Care pathway within the wider Wirral 0-18 team. This post will give a practitioner experience of working closely within young people presenting within complexity and high risk as well as developing close working relationships with partners and external agencies to support the young person and the understanding of their individual needs in the network around them.

The post-holder will join a supportive and friendly multi-disciplinary team involving mental health practitioners, clinical psychologists, assistant psychologist and support workers etc whom are trained in differing disciplines. The MDT provides great opportunity to learn within a team and develop knowledge and skills in this area of work., The role will involve carrying a clinical caseload, working both directly and indirectly with young people delivering psychological interventions developing clear formulations of needs. The post holder will also provide consultation as the link worker to the wider services supporting individuals.

We are keen to recruit someone with experience, knowledge and skills of working with mental health complexity and significant risks. We also value the ability to develop innovative practice and value those who are able to work closely with colleagues in different parts of the system, including primary care and the third sector.

We would particularly welcome applications from people who are already trained or have a good understanding in the following therapeutic modalities: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and/or Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). This would be an advantage although this is not essential as training can be provided.
