Full Job Description
In this rewarding role, you'll support children and young people with severe learning disabilities, helping to improve their wellbeing and positively impact their daily lives. No two days are the same-working within our supportive multi-disciplinary team, you'll gain invaluable experience while contributing to meaningful, life-changing work., To support the Learning Disability Nurses in the assessment process and implementing strategies of the Positive Behaviour Support Plans. To carry out observations as part of the assessment process. To help maintain resources within the team. To work as part of the wider and multi-disciplinary service, providing clinical and clerical support. Also, the post requires information and computer technology skills. The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this., Please download a copy of the job description (see 'documents to download' section below) for full details of the main responsibilities for this role. - Good command of the English language and numerate Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field such as Health & Social Care or Child Care.
- Previous experience of working in health care setting., Understanding of confidentiality
- Awareness of children's rights
- Awareness of child related legislation
- Awareness of safeguarding children
- Computer literate, Experience of working with the general public
- Evidence of working in a busy environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- An ability to deliver a high standard of care
- Able to deliver interventions to groups Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with children, young people or adults who have a Learning Disability
- Experience of delivering parenting programmes
